This is driving a shift towards IP-over-DWDM (IPoDWDM) architectures with DWDM transmission directly from host devices. Our Coherent 800ZR Series addresses these challenges, enabling cost-efficient, low-power 800Gbit/s DWDM links from a diverse range of host devices, such as switches and routers, with standardized QSFP-DD or OSFP ports. In addition to increasing network capacity, our coherent pluggable optics enable simpler designs with fewer network devices.

Broad range of applications
Our portfolio of 800Gbit/s coherent transceivers spans standards-based OIF 800ZR and OpenZR+ options, as well as high-performance ZR+ variants designed for more demanding network scenarios. The OIF compliant 800ZR pluggable transceiver is optimized for delivering 800GbE client services across point to point DWDM connections of up to 120 km, while the 800ZR+ variants support a broader range of metro and regional applications, offering multi-rate modes and enhanced optical performance. All product variations have been designed to ensure seamless interoperability with third-party equipment across multi vendor, disaggregated network environments.

Boost performance with our FSP 3000 OLS
With C band and L band variants, our 800ZR/ZR+ optics feature a fully tunable DWDM compliant interface that operates seamlessly across any open line system (OLS) with channel spacing matched to the selected data rate. To achieve maximum performance, we recommend combining our ZR/ZR+ optics and FSP 3000 OLS. This enables precise tuning of optical parameters to specific OLS configurations, thereby eliminating integration challenges or interoperability penalties. The result is a transport solution with guaranteed performance and consistently predictable results, all without the need for manual adjustments or reverse-engineering compatibility tests.
