FSP 3000 Core OLS
In this setup, the service provider supplies the fiber and an open optical line system (OLS), then allocates a portion of the spectrum to a third party, who can deploy multiple external wavelength services across the OLS. Our FSP 3000 OLS is the ideal platform to provide spectrum services. Its high-resolution flexgrid ROADMs overcome the limitations of traditional fixed-channel grid systems, enabling flexible and efficient spectrum allocation. Additionally, FSP 3000 ROADMs provide advanced capabilities for spectrum management, policing and monitoring. They automatically control channel power within the allocated spectrum and across the remaining optical transport spectrum, simplifying operations and ensuring peak performance throughout the network’s lifetime.
The FSP 3000 OLS creates an open, scalable optical layer designed to meet evolving demands. Its modular architecture, flexible ROADM configurations and application-optimized optical amplifiers deliver efficient solutions from the network edge to the core. Built-in technologies, like optical channel monitoring and OTDR, provide visibility into service health and facilitate the rapid detection of fiber faults. Additionally, with our proactive ALM fiber monitoring solution, users benefit from deeper insights into fiber events and long-term quality, which helps meet the most stringent SLA requirements. Management and control are easy with the Adtran Mosaic Network Controller, which handles alien wavelengths as seamlessly as native services. With Adtran solutions, wholesale service providers can deliver fully assured, differentiated optical spectrum services that drive new revenue and strengthen customer loyalty.
