As IP over DWDM (IPoDWDM) networks become increasingly complex, operators need simpler ways to automate provisioning, operations and optimization across multiple vendors and network layers. Agentic AI and standardized interfaces such as MCP offer new opportunities to streamline network control and improve operational efficiency.
In this live demo, Chunmin Xia will showcase an MCP-enabled agentic AI architecture for autonomous control of vendor-agnostic IPoDWDM networks. Attendees will see end-to-end lifecycle automation and closed-loop control using GNPy and telemetry, validated on a real-world testbed. The demo will show how agentic AI can coordinate IP and optical domains to support more autonomous network operations.
