Hassen Satouri outlines the need for GNSS-secured national time systems at ITSF 2025

Joint poster session will explore how resilient, secure timing infrastructure supports national networks and critical services

  • Speakers: Hassen Satouri, senior business development manager, MEA at Oscilloquartz, Adtran; Neeren Ramharakh, CEO of Synch Industries
  • Topics: The need for a GNSS-secured national time system – a joint presentation of Synch Industries and Oscilloquartz

  • When: Thursday, October 30
  • Where: ITSF 2025 – Clarion Congress Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic https://itsf2025.executiveindustryevents.com/Event

GNSS underpins timing and synchronization for critical infrastructure, including telecoms, finance, power grids, data centers and defense operations. However, jamming and spoofing attacks can easily degrade or disrupt weak satellite signals. In response, regulators demand operators deploy backup solutions capable of maintaining accurate, long-term holdover. With cyber threats rising globally, some governments are going even further and developing national assured positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) networks to protect essential services.

In this poster session, Hassen Satouri and Neeren Ramharakh will explain how to build a GNSS-secured zero-trust national timing architecture featuring solutions such as ePRTC grandmasters with cesium holdover and multi-constellation satellite receivers. They will also explore how fiber-based PTP distribution ensures reliability, and cover governance, certification, testing, incident response, and how to deliver a phased rollout with measurable service levels.
