Network automation is critical to enhancing the efficiency of optical networks. Also crucial in the drive towards more streamlined operations is disaggregation at all layers, including the optical transport layer. In the realm of open and disaggregated ecosystems, orchestration is particularly critical. The same is also true in the domain of scalable optical slicing.
In this session, Stephan Neidlinger and the expert panel will discuss efforts of telco carriers and hyperscalers to automate networks. They will explore various transport system vendors’ approaches to automation, SDN control and network orchestration. Also under the spotlight will be the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms in improving orchestration and automation processes.
