USER EXPERIENCE
User Experience (UX) is about defining our products and services in a way that’s simple and intuitive.
ADTRAN strives to provide the best possible UX for our products and services. We’ve adopted a company-wide UX initiative focused on designing great end-to-end experiences through understanding our customers' needs. We strive to gain insight into their environments, workflows, and pain points so we can improve their experiences with ADTRAN. We continuously conduct user testing, observations, feedback sessions, and on-site visits with our customers in an effort to help shape a culture that values empathy and design. After all, if people are giving their time to use our products, then our products need to be worth their time.
UX MISSION
User Experience at ADTRAN is focused on applying and integrating user-centered design within our LEAN, agile organization to drive innovative experiences through better understanding our customer’s needs.
We've not really done this with any other vendors. We have worked with vendors to make feature requests but we've never been part of helping build something from scratch.
- Communications Customer
The usability testing provided good insight into how our product is being used and the false assumptions that we originally made. This insight will boost our ability to output good quality UI so that the customers spend less time fighting (the product) and more time using it.
- Electrical Engineer
As a PO, the usability studies helped me better understand customers’ real UI pain points. This helps me in my role to prioritize UI tasks for my team.
