Repair and Return

A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number must accompany all products being returned to ADTRAN. Buyer must supply valid Product serial numbers prior to ADTRAN providing the required RMA number. Please have your credit card or purchase order number available at the time of your RMA request. The RMA Number must be clearly visible on the outside of the packaging material when sending units in for processing.

RMA numbers are issued via one of the following methods:

Repair/Return and Upgrade RMA Requests
If your unit requires an upgrade or if it is in need of repair, contact the Customer Care Center for the creation of an RMA by email or by calling toll-free (888) 423-8726.

You may also perform this request utilizing our online method - Submit a RMA Request.

NOTE: If your unit has failed, you are strongly encouraged to work with a Technical Support Engineer to avoid any unnecessary fees prior to returning equipment.

Advanced Replacement RMA Requests
Dead On Arrival (DOA), Out of Box and emergency replacement units are issued by the Technical Support Department after a Technical Support engineer has had an opportunity to troubleshoot/validate the failure in order to issue an RMA number. ADTRAN retains the final decision as to whether a situation warrants a replacement unit. Call toll-free: (888) 423-8726 and ask for Technical Support.

Stock Rotations and Return To Stock RMA Requests
The Inside Sales Department issues RMA numbers to customers requiring that the product be returned to Class-A (i.e. New Stock) stock. All stock rotation authorization numbers must be accompanied by an offsetting purchase order. Call toll-free (888) 423-8726 and ask for an Inside Sales Associate.
