Total Reach extends BRI ISDN service over a single twisted pair up to 30,500 feet from the central office without repeaters. Total Reach ISDN is composed of a central office unit (TRI-C) and a remote unit (TRI-R) that use Simple Coded-Pulse Amplitude Modulation (SC PAM) to transport the 160 kpbs BRI information to the customer's NT1 or TA.
