Equal Cost Load Balancing and Failover
For the business that needs guaranteed bandwidth, the NetVanta switch-routers can share bandwidth between two ISPs by using "equal cost" load balancing. This eliminates the need to purchase a rarely used, dormant backup link as a dedicated disaster recovery scheme. Data is transported to either ISP until one of the connections is lost. Then, data is automatically re-routed over the failover link, until service is restored.
