ADTRAN makes a significant contribution to the standards committees and other governing organizations of the telecommunications industry. The company currently maintains active membership in the following organizations:

American Society for Quality (ASQ)

ASQ is a society of individual and organizational members dedicated to the ongoing development, advancement, and promotion of quality concepts, principles, and techniques. http://www.asqc.org/

ATM Forum

The ATM Forum is an international non-profit organization formed with the objective of accelerating the use of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) products and services through a rapid convergence of interoperability specifications. European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI)

ETSI is a non-profit-making organization whose mission is to determine and produce the telecommunications standards that will be used for decades to come. It is an open forum that unites 696 members from 50 countries, representing administrations, network operators, manufacturers, service providers, and users. http://www.etsi.org/

Frame Relay Forum

The Frame Relay Forum is an association of vendors, carriers, users, and consultants committed to the education, promotion, and implementation of Frame Relay in accordance with international standards. http://www.frforum.com/

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

Through its technical publishing, conferences, and consensus-based standards activities, the IEEE produces 30 percent of the world's published literature in electrical engineering, computers, and control technology. It holds more than 300 major conferences annually and has more than 800 active standards with 700 more under development. http://www.ieee.org/

Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)

The IETF is a large, open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. http://www.ietf.org/

ITU Telecommunications Standardization Sector (ITU-T)

OpenView Forum

OpenView Forum International is a non-profit corporation formed by the largest licensees of Hewlett-Packard OpenView to represent the interests of HP OpenView users and developers world-wide. PictureTel User Group (PUG)

PUG is a worldwide independent organization of PictureTel product users. PUG Alliance companies are leading vendors, suppliers, and carriers of videoconferencing technologies that are compatible with products and services manufactured and offered by PictureTel Corporation. http://www.pug.com/

Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Leadership Forum

The QuEST Forum mission is to foster continued improvements to the quality and reliability of telecommunications service. It is committed to developing and maintaining a common set of quality system requirements for the telecommunications industry worldwide, including reportable performance- and cost-based metrics for the industry. http://www.questforum.org

SONET Interoperability Forum (SIF)

The SIF is an industry group that was established to define and resolve SONET (synchronous optical network) implementation issues. T1E1

The Physical Interconnection and Analog Access Working Group develops and maintains standards and technical reports on both physical interconnection and analog access to telecommunications networks. Telcordia (formerly Bellcore)

Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-41

TIA represents suppliers of communications and information technology products on public policy, standards, and market-development issues affecting its membership. The association provides its members a forum for the examination of global industry issues and information. http://www.tiaonline.org/

The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC)

The IPC is dedicated to furthering the competitive excellence and financial success of its worldwide members, who are participants in the electronic interconnect industry.
