Point-to-Point Connectivity with Router and PBX Extension
When an octal, quad, or dual T1 TRACER radio is used for building or campus connectivity, it is easily coupled with an ADTRAN NetVanta 3000 Series access router to extend corporate LAN connectivity and Internet access to remote sites. The NetVanta 3000 Series includes stateful inspection firewall and optional VPN functionality for applications requiring secure links, including transfers of patient- or employee-confidential data. In this application, a TRACER quad T1 radio is transporting two seperate T1s to the NetVanta 3305 access router, seperating enterprise data from public Internet data. For voice, a T1 is connected to a PBX at the host site and to an ADTRAN Total Access 750 at the remote site. The Total Access 750 is a low-cost, grow-as-you-go Integrated Access Device (IAD) that supports converged voice/data over FXS modules. The remaining T1 is being used for videoconferencing between the two sites. |
