ADTRAN University

I am not able to access the ADTRAN training site that I’ve used in the past?
In order to better serve our learning community we've changed learning platforms. ADTRAN University was previously hosted at adtrancampus.monsoon5.com. This site was disabled in March of 2008. We did our best to notify all our learners before the transition. To get started with the new ADTRAN University, please visit our registration page: www.adtranuniversity.com/registration.

What is ADTRAN University?
ADTRAN University is our online campus. To participate in any of our online training, instructor-led training or ADTRAN certification programs make sure you have an account. Visit us often for all your ADTRAN product and technology training needs.

What are the system requirements for the new ADTRAN University?
To attend training with us make sure your system meets the following requirements:
Broadband access
IE 5.5 or higher
Firefox 2.0 or higher
Flash Player 7 or higher
Java 1.5 or higher (For browser specific requirements click here)

Why do I need to verify my java version?
In order for your training to be properly tracked on ADTRAN University you MUST have Java 1.5 or higher. Visit our system checker to test your system.

How do I create an account?
To create an ADTRAN University Account visit: www.adtranuniversity.com/registration. Upon registration to the new site you will receive an email with login credentials and several navigation tips for the new site.

I think I already hhave a login to ADTRAN University. How can I verify?
Please visit our registration page: www.adtranuniversity.com/registration. You will be prompted to enter your company email address and you'll be sent your username and password via email. To ensure that your training progress is properly tracked, verify that your system meets ADTRAN University requirements before visiting our new campus.

Does my account expire?
ADTRAN University accounts do not expire.

What if I've forgotten my username and/or my password?
Your default username is your company email address. If you have forgotten your password visit www.adtranuniversity.com and click "Forgot your password?" or click here to go directly to there.

How do I view my transcript?
To view your transcript login to ADTRAN University, click on My Transcript in the left hand column. Select the course type or types you've attended and click next in the bottom right hand corner. Please check all of your transcript report settings. If you need to make a change, click Previous. To run the transcript, click Run Transcript.

I am existing ADTRAN University user, where are my records?
We assure you your training records are safe with us...unfortunately they are currently unavailable to view through ADTRAN University. Certification records will be implemented later this year.

Can I get a certificate for my training?
Our online campus is brand new and certificates for all training classes is not yet available. Certificates is a enhancement coming soon!

Online Training

What kind of online training do you offer?
We offer over 50 titles covering a variety of ADTRAN products and supporting technologies. Visit us often to see what's new!

How do I register for online training?
Visit ADTRAN University, find the online training event of your choice and click "Details" and then "Enroll".

I would like to follow along with the audio but I do not see any notes for the slides?
The option to have text captionion is a setting on the course itself. To view the text, find the "Options" button on the graphical user interface of the course. When you open the options dialog box, you will see the option to turn Audio and/or Text Captioning On or Off.

I completed an Online Training Event but I no longer see the course or my score in My Elective Learning?
Once a course or an exam is complete the class and associated information will move to your “History” tab located in your “My Required Learning” or “My Elective Learning” pages.

Instructor-led Training

Where do I find date and times for Instructor-led Events?
Login to ADTRAN University and click on "ILT With Open Seats" or visit our website and the classes are listed under Instructor-led Training Events.

How do I enroll in a particular session?
Once you've found the training of your choice, click "Scheduled Classes" and select the event that meets your needs. Click "Enroll in this Class" to add this class to your training calendar. A confirmation email will be sent to you containing payment and location details.

How do I pay for my training?
Payment details be provided to you via email after enrolling in a session.

Where will my training be?
Most instructor-led training events are located at ADTRAN Headquarters. If a course is available elsewhere the location will be listed in the course name. For more details visit, Locations.

Where should I stay?
Suggestions are provided on our website under Locations.

Certifications

How long is my certification valid?
Each certification is valid for two years from the time of completion. This means your certification is good for two years starting when you PASS the exam. During those two years you will receive periodic invites to training events to maintain your certification.

How to I recertify?
Thirty days prior to the end of your certification ADTRAN University will notify you and present your options for recertifying. This will include meeting any new training requirements and retaking the certification exams.

What courses do I need to take to prepare for the exam?
Each certification program has suggested training. You can find this suggested training our our website. We strongly recommend you print out the checklist for the certification program of your choice. We provide checklists for each certifcation program to help you stay on track.

When will I receive my certificate?
You should receive your certficate via email within five to ten business days.

Certification Exams

Where do I register for the certification exams?
Certification exams are located at ADTRAN University. Once you've logged in to ADTRAN University, type "Exam" in the Advanced Search field and click "Go". Click "details" on the exam you wish to take and enroll.

How do I begin the exam?

1. Verify your system. To ensure that your exam results are properly tracked, verify that you are running Java 1.5 or higher. Not sure? Click Here

2. At the beginning of each exam you must enter your name, email address, and company name. Once you've submitted this information click the forward arrow in the bottom right hand corner to proceed to the exam.

3. Read each question carefully. Use the forward and back arrows at the top of the page to navigate through the exam. Once you have completed the test,
click the "Grade" button in the lower left-hand corner. Print the assessment details for your records before exiting. This is your only opportunity to review the test questions you missed.

Once I've passed the exam when do I receive my certificate? Where can I view my results?
Certifications are processed several times a week during our certification reporting cycle. You should receive your certification notification and related information in our processing day. You should receive your certficate via email within five to ten business days. Once a course or an exam is complete the class and associated information will move to your “History” tab located in your “My Required Learning” or “My Elective Learning” pages.
