Quality of Service for VoIP Networks
NetVanta Ethernet switches, switch-routers, and access routers provide Quality of Service (QoS) functionality to ensure network managers have the ability to prioritize delay-sensitive or mission-critical traffic, such as VoIP, and control network congestion. NetVanta 1000 Series switches support Layer 2 802.1p Class of Service (CoS) while Weighted Round Robin (WRR) and Strict Priority Queuing are used for traffic prioritization. At Layer 3, NetVanta 3000 Series access routers and 1000 Series switch-routers support DiffServ-marking and Weighted Fair or Low Latency Queuing.
