The SMART (Small Managed Access Remote Terminal) Fiber Terminal Cabinet is a fully integrated system that will deploy up to 28 DSX-1 T1 interfaces and two DS3s from a fiber OC-3 feed.

The cabinet features the ADTRAN OPTI-3 MUX, DS3 Monitor Test Card (MTC), plus an MX2800 MUX. Cabinet power is AC fed with redundant rectifier capability and backup battery. The system provides easy installation, test, and turnup for DSX-1/T1 circuits delivered at the customer premises. The cabinet can be pad or pole mounted.
