Plug-in unit for the MX3 Chassis that provides eight DSX-1 drops from up to two DS3s
The remaining DS1s may be routed between the DS3s or to optional drop modules in the MX3 Chassis
Two MX3208 Controller Cards are used together to provide a redundant circuit

The major features of the MX3208 system are as follows:

Optional router providing end-to-end Ethernet extension over a single T1 and terminal server functionality - Ideal for IP-based traffic over TDM backhauled network
Remotely managed through SNMP or Telnet
DB9 craft interface for access to user-friendly configuration and performance monitoring menus

Redundant -48VDC or ±24VDC power inputs
Operates over an extended temperature range of –40°C to +65°C
Provides 64 Pin Champ connections for DS1s
