Are you seeking powerful network solutions that connect multiple branches, trading partners, and customers, while creating the flexible, responsive infrastructure you need to successfully compete in today’s financial industry?
With the growing dependence on communications in financial markets, along with far-reaching consolidations and mergers, many banks and financial institutions are finding that legacy communications and networks no longer serve the expanded business needs. Whether you need to interconnect multiple branch offices or partners with voice, data, or video applications, leverage the Internet, or connect ATM/Kiosks, ADTRAN offers a wide range of solutions that will transform your communications capabilities and enable your network to become a catalyst for improved operations, productivity, and customer support
ADTRAN’s commitment and continued success in the telecommunications industry offers reassurance when upgrading vital network operations. Whether its connectivity, improving bandwidth efficiency, or creating a more resilient network to support business continuity strategies, ADTRAN is a solid choice.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
For your branch office connectivity or real time trading network, are you looking to increase your network reliability and protect it from downtime? ADTRAN offers the industry's leading solutions for protecting your WAN against outages. For many banking and financial services networks, communication failures result in significant financial losses as well as serious disruptions in customer service. With ADTRAN, network managers have discovered the incremental cost of adding resilient disaster recovery technology to the WAN infrastructure is a very small investment compared to the significant costs to the business when voice and data communications are down and service is interrupted.
ADTRAN offers cost-effective disaster recovery solutions for both packet and leased line networks. ADTRAN's Safe-T-Net incorporates the industy's most rapid and reliable dial backup and alternate routing technology to ensure bandwidth is available in the event a primary link fails. Safe-T-Net is designed as optional functionality in many ADTRAN WAN products. When deployed, Safe-T-Net detects problems on the link and automatically dials around the failure over analog telephone lines or ISDN PRI/BRI circuits and delivers fast and reliable communications restoral so your financial network continues to operate and support the business.
IP Routing and Internet Security
To connect LANs that are distributed across floors of a major building or are located at remote sites, ADTRAN offers a complete line of internetworking solutions. ADTRAN’s NetVanta 3000 Series is a line of IP access routers that supports LAN and WAN connectivity for Internet, public and private Frame Relay, and leased line networks. These full-featured, low-cost access routers include an integral DSU/CSU, a stateful inspection firewall, optional DSX port for PBX connectivity and dial backup options, and a familiar command line interface. The NetVanta 2000 Series is a line of VPN/firewalls that offer secure, low-cost connectivity across the Internet with stateful inspection firewall and internal router.
Ethernet Switching
The NetVanta 1000 Series of managed Ethernet switches is a full-featured product line suitable for use in Local Area Networks requiring LAN interconnectivity or network segmentation, including Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications. The NetVanta 1000 Series uses the ADTRAN Operating System (OS) pre-installed Standard Feature Pack firmware to provide non-blocking Layer 2 switching functionality, support for Virtual LANs (VLANs), advanced management, and Quality of Service (QoS) capability. This series includes the NetVanta 1224R Layer 2 switch with integral router and WAN interface, 1224STR Layer 2 switch with integral router, WAN interface, and Gigabit uplink, 1224 Layer 2 switch, and 1224ST Layer 2 switch with dual Gigabit uplinks.
Frame Relay Connectivity
The ADTRAN Frame Relay product lineup includes solutions for advanced performance monitoring and basic circuit termination. The IQ 310, the flagship performance monitoring device, eliminates the guesswork from Frame Relay networks with intelligent performance monitoring, circuit management, and trouble-shooting. Intelligent frame-aware IQ devices gather Layer 1-3 statistics; which are accessible using any SNMP-based management system.
It is available in 56/64k, T1/FT1 for Frame Relay data-only support, T1/FT1 with a DSX-1 for Frame Relay data and TDM voice support, and T1 Probe.
License-Free, Fixed Wireless Connectivity
TRACER is a license-free wireless digital transmission system that delivers T1, E1, DS3 or V.35 interfaces in point-to-point applications at ranges up to 30 miles. TRACER provides full-duplex, broadband connections at costs below that of wireline or comparable competing radios. The TRACER Series includes the industry’s first NEBS Level 3 compliant spread-spectrum radio (TRACER 2603). TRACER operates in the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) and the 5.8 Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure (U-NII) bands. TRACER equipment can operate license-free in the U.S. and many other countries.
The NetVanta 2000 Series of VPN/firewall products addresses the growing need to secure access to corporate resources over the Internet and protect the network from cyber attacks. The series includes platforms for large corporate host applications, mid-size host or branch office deployment, and Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) applications. Each of these units includes IPSec VPN tunneling, access policies, stateful inspection firewall, cyber assault protection, Network Address Translation (NAT), IP routing, and authenticated remote user access. The NetVanta VPN Client is a software implemented VPN solution for the mobile workforce. It includes a full-featured firewall for laptops or personal computers.
T1 Consolidation
ADTRAN offers three families of Integrated Access Devices (IADs): ATLAS, Total Access, and TSU. Each has been designed to converge voice, data, video, and Internet traffic, making it easier to improve communications, lower costs, and simplify management of networks.
The ATLAS Series offers the highest capacity and the most advanced set of networking services. This single platform supports multiple technologies, including T1, T3, ISDN, IP routing, and Frame Relay. ATLAS provides dynamic bandwidth allocation, T1 Inverse Multiplexing, ISDN PRI/BRI switching, multiple T1/PRI DACSing and grooming, Frame Relay concentration, compressed voice, T3 applications, and videoconferencing.
The Total Access Series is a carrier-class IAD series that includes fixed-port and modular models packaged in the most economical and compact chassis available. Total Access IADs can be used to deploy voice-only or converged voice/data applications over a T1 or DSL network. The Total Access 1500 Multi-T1 High Density Access Platform provides up to four T1s to the network, high-density POTS support, and special services.
The ADTRAN TSU Series combines voice and data over a single T1. Organizations with the most complex T1 TDM application will appreciate the full suite of option modules designed to support up to 24 analog voice interfaces along with a broad range of digital voice, data, and video applications.
